Wayne Township Comprehensive Plan

The 2017 Comprehensive Plan for Wayne Township is a guiding document for the future of our community. Unlike an ordinance, the Comprehensive Plan has no regulatory authority. It will, however, be an official guidebook for future Township decisions.

The 2017 Comprehensive Plan defines the community’s vision for the future, identifies goals and objectives to achieve that vision, and ensures the preservation of the agricultural and rural landscape of the Township. Community input during the Plan’s development has established a desire to keep the lifestyle and environment of the community the same as it is today. To do this, the Plan identifies, in accordance with the requirements of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), a community vision, a series of community development objectives, along with specific goals and objectives tied to community input.
